Rosie O'Donnell plans return to talk on Oprah's OWN network
The two biggest "O"s in daytime are joining forces. Rosie O'Donnell is the latest star tapped by Oprah Winfrey's upcoming OWN network. As a part of the deal, O'Donnell gets a new daytime talk show, debuting sometime in 2011.
In a statement released by the network, Oprah has this to say about her new employee: "Rosie is an undeniable talent who has captivated TV audiences for nearly 20 years... She's a true original, who brings her authentic voice, dynamic energy and pure passion to everything she does."
And Rosie throws the love right back at her. "It's an honor and a privilege to work with Oprah Winfrey on her network," says O'Donnell. "I'm excited to be back on daytime television."
OWN chief executive officer Christina Norman announced that the New York-based series will also be produced by O'Donnell, carrying on the trademark style from the days of "The Rosie O'Donnell Show."

Thrilled to hear she's coming to Daytime, but sad for us Canadians that it's going to be on Oprah's Network, 'cause it probably means we won't see it!
If one listened to Rosie on Rosie Radio, you'd see just how poorly the media portrays her. On a 2 hour show she made a quick off the cuff comment about how she thinks Obama probably should not have gone on such a fluffy, entertainment based show like The View, and from the media, you'd think she had made the full 2 hours all about how horrible it was! Maybe garnering a larger audience on TV will show just how genuine, real and normal she is.
Well thats one hour of TV I won't be watching! I used to love Rosie, until I went to see her show many many years ago. She was funny when the camera's were on, but when they were off she was a true BIATCH!
Yet another reason NOT to watch the new Oprah channel, or daytime TV at all. One more angry woman spitting out her venom.
Another bad decision by Oprah. What has happened to her in the last two years or so? Rosie is the kiss of death (literally - No really, if you kiss her, you will want to kill yourself.)
Remind me to cancel my Hi Def just in case I mistakenly channel surf and happen to land on this show.
