'Real Housewives NY': Bethenny Frankel isn't going back
Here we are once again, the game that occurs when the media begins reporting on who will or won't be returning for the next season of "Real Housewives." The latest whispers are that every cast member of "The Real Housewives of New York City" has been asked back except for Jen Gilbert (which isn't a surprise).
Despite Bethenny Frankel saying she won't be returning to "Real Housewives" on a media press call in July, recent reports say she was still in talks with Bravo to stay on with the franchise. Well, apparently all that has been put to rest. Frankel tells Us magazine officially that she won't be back.
"Last season was scary and painful," Frankel says. "It took all of the joy out of it."
While sources tell the magazine that the remaining cast members are scheduled to start filming Season 4 on September 20, Frankel seems as if she's way over it saying she didn't "see any reason to go back." Sources do tell the magazine that she will make appearances next season due to contractual obligations, but not as a regular cast member.
Why would she go back? Frankel has her own show, "Bethenny Getting Married?," which premiered with more than two million viewers, the highest number for any series debut on Bravo, and she plans to continue the show into a second season.
While we'll miss Bethenny on "Real Housewives," we think she made a pretty sane decision. Don't you?

won't miss her. she sux so she can stay on her own show (and i don't watch it). btw, jill sux too. she should get her own show too and then no one would watch it!
If she didn't have a second season of BGM, she would be back.
I find it curious that she said in a number of interviews when her daughter was born that her daughter would not be a part of any show as it was exploitative. She specifically said that she was no "Jon and Kate".
And what is was the second half of her show BGM about? Her daughter. There was not one show in which that new born wasn't seen. I do wonder how she will manage a second season of BGM without her daughter or has Bethenny changed her mind about child exploitation?
Please point out the exploitative scenes on BGM concerning her child? Seriously, just having her filmed? Come on now Tiredrain!
For the record BGM is a sweet, funny, positive, life affirming show. Everything the entire housewives franchise is not.
Hey, Bethenny was the one who said that her baby was not going to be a part of the show. SHE was the one that called it exploitative while in the same breath ragged on Jon and Kate Gosselin.
She has apparently decided she has more in common with them than not.
If Bethenny isn't on RHONC next season, it won't be worth watching for me. While the other women are nice, they lack the depth and sincerity of Bethenny. I guess I will be watching something else that night.
Just so done with it all. Mindless "GARBAGE!" I'm sure Jennifer Gilbert was bummed not to be asked back, but they actually did her a favor.
