At NBC Universal's party at the TCA Press tour, we ran into Tareq and Michaele Salahi, the infamous "White House Gate-crashers" and cast members on "The Real Housewives of D.C." premiering Thursday, August 5.

It took a little while to get Michaele's attention, since she was a getting her groove on with another reporter who was trying to snag her away from us, but we finally got her to focus.

The couple says that the media got everything wrong when it came to the details surrounding the White House state dinner. "The media that started this media storm has everything inaccurate," Tareq tells Zap2it. "So, Bravo is going to show the facts."

Michelle adds, "We were invited. We gave our I.D.'s. They announced our names. We were happy to be there."

The Salahis say that their forthcoming book, "Cirque du Salahi: Be Careful Who You Trust," will be available for presale on August 3 and it will not only tell the truth about the gate-crashing incident, but gives us insight into the couple's relationship and lives.

Watch Part 1 of our interview with the Salahis below:

Make sure to look for Part 2 on Thursday: The Salahis talk about their D.C. cast mates and they give us a scoop as to where they'll be heading this season.

I can't wait for the book, I'm sure we will finally learn the truth about their lives!! Like how they kill little babies suffering from Leukemia because they pocketed money people donated for a cure. But with that money they bought nice clothes so they could pretend they were important... so I whats a few dead babies?

This video is awesome. The party looked like so much fun.

The Salahi's are amazing people who raised over 150,00 for Leukemia & Lymphoma - call the foundation - find out yourself all the great things they have done for children and people.

It is so sad that this same jealous woman is on all the blogs - hating on them. I know you wanted to be on the show - but bashing the Salahi's isn't going to make it for you.

Can't Wait to this. First time for me to watch this type of show.

They raised over 150,000? How much of that went to expenses, including personal? Do some research of your own, including some reporting on the Salahis' "charities".

Another Juicy Joe and Dumbazz Teresa. Lovely. Just what the world needs.

Please be aware that the poster "Susan" is Michaele. Dead give-away on many websites mentioning her name - particularly obvious of the dreadful use of grammar. She should be ashamed of herself.

Technically correct.. they may have "raised $150,000 for L&L". And I'm sure the poor saps that donated the money thought that was where it was going. But if you "check the facts" you'll find the very very little of any money they collect goes to the charities. Most goes to their pockets. The only people they have done great things for is themselves. Oh.. and Michellllla, I'm not jealous..lol and not a woman. I am just someone who is very interested in the truth coming out about you and your loathsome husband, who we like to call.. the baby killers.

Its the 1st show and these dweebs already have a book written??

Whats next, designing clothes and jewelry, and makeup, writing a cookbook, oh and a song and then the sex tape, that's the route that these housewives take

These 2 are the epitome of famewhores man what a life........

Cirque du Salahi what an appropiate name, they are both clowns.
