A few leftovers from a big day of TV news, before you call it a night:

Broadway star and country crooner Laura Bell Bundy nabs a recurring role in the upcoming season of "How I Met Your Mother." She'll play Robin's new co-anchor on her morning news show, and yes, a possible love interest for Ted. [EW]

CMT's a little bit country, and a little bit sitcom. The country music network reportedly picked up the pilot "Working Class" for a series order. It stars "Reba" alum Melissa Peterman as a single mom who moves her family to nicer part of town.  [Variety]

William Petersen, who's been laying low since his "C.S.I." exit, just nabbed his first post-Gil Grissom role. He joins the ensemble indie drama "Detachment," with Christina Hendricks ("Mad Men") and Lucy Liu. [HR]

Tom Selleck and his mustache apparently didn't jive with "Blue Bloods" showrunner Ken Sanzel--the producer announced today that he'll be leaving the series following creative differences with the star. [Deadline]
