'Gossip Girl': 'Desperate Housewives' Sam Page heads to NYC

Could Blair Waldorf be getting a little hot for teacher? Sources confirm to Zap2it that "Desperate Housewives" and "Mad Men" star Sam Page is taking a little trip to the Upper West Side for a multi-episode arc on "Gossip Girl."

It seems likely that Page, who is currently booked for four episodes, will be playing a professor at Columbia now that Blair has transferred uptown from NYU.

Here's the kicker, though: our source says that Page will be interacting with Serena (Blake Lively) more than with Blair.

Page is no stranger to the Ivy League himself, having graduated from Princeton. According to his IMDB profile, he wrote his senior thesis on the mating habits of female mosquitofish. Sexy.

As attractive as Page is, we wouldn't be surprised if Blair or Serena set her sights on him, though we're hoping that the show will go another route since we've already seen Dan (Penn Badgley) do the "Don't Stand So Close to Me" dance, and it didn't really sizzle.
