The "Glee" star poses for a photo shoot for the September issue of Teen Vogue, and this behind-the-scenes video gives insight into his past.

In the video, Salling, who plays football player-show choir member Noah "Puck" Puckerman, reveals what his favorite song to perform was on the show and how it differs from his mom's fave. Aww!

He also talks about his favorite musical influences and how he broke into showbiz with "Glee."

Salling and his other "Glee" castmates return for Season 2 on Sept. 21.
