'Glee' Macy's fashion launch brings Gleek love
Gleeks can show their true colors at Macy's thanks to the new "Glee"-themed clothing line.In honor of the apparel's launch, cast members Heather Morris, Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz breeze into the Macy's at the Beverly Center Mall in Beverly Hills on Saturday (Aug. 21) to greet fans and sign autographs.
Zap2it arrives just ahead of them, but in time to see the crowd get a little rowdy, but it's all in good fun. Half of the Gleeks are in line with bags full of purchased "Glee" clothing already, waiting for their chance to meet Brittany, Artie and Tina. The others are cordoned off to the side, wielding cameras and camera phones to snap pics of their favorite stars.
A DJ blasts the "Glee" soundtrack while the fans wait, singing along in a communal karoke. Since this is Beverly Hills, a mild-mannered pup or two sits patiently in its owner's arms, not really caring who's going to show up on stage. This gives us a chance to see some of the apparel. There are more than 30 different pieces in the "Glee" collection, but here's a sampling:
Finally ... they arrive. Related pics

The Glee spectacular at Macy's was amazing. The cast is so amazing and personable! They took the time to take a picture with a disabled girl! How amazing is that. My love of Glee is shown in one of your pictures and I was on channel 11 news at 10:40ish pm. Thanks for being their to take these amazing pictures!! One day I hope to be on Glee, I mean Heather Morris told me I did look familiar!! (I auditioned for Glee)
Hey, there are some shirts available on Macys.com now.
It's a good thing they weren't actually wearing any of the tacky, ugly, ridiculously cheap silly looking glee clothes themselves. At least they have enough sense not to wear the glee clothing themselves or their fashion advisors know to put them in real clothes, don't we hvae tons of teeny bopper mall stores already filled with clothes equally crappy that does the world need another line of it because it says Glee on it? I guess teens are a huge market, but I would hope someday teens could aspire to wearing something a bit more fashionable than those ugly 80s inspired neon cheap see thru tee shirts and ugly boring sweatshirts, that isn't even fashion, geesh. I think anyone over 10 might wanna rethink wearing the stuff I just saw in the above photos. Why not make some the sorta cute clothes the girls in the show actually wear, even Rachel doesn't wear anything that ugly in the show, her clothes are way cuter than the above. I think Old Navy is cuter than the above, goodness, nuf said.
