'Glee': Did Lea Michele just tip the Super Bowl episode?

"Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy has said the show is negotiating with a "big" male musical artist for the post-Super Bowl episode in February. He hasn't named names yet -- but the show's star has.Emmy nominee Lea Michele floated a name in a recent interview, and it's a guy who has a little bit of history with the Super Bowl: Justin Timberlake.
"I think they are saving Justin Timberlake for the Super Bowl episode," Michele says in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "They have to be, because he is so perfect for our show. He has to be on it!"
Michele says she's even gone through channels to try to convince Timberlake to make an appearance. "When I met Jessica Biel, like a loser, I asked her to tell Justin to come on our show," she tells the HR. "She was a little taken aback and said, 'Um, OK. I'll tell him.'"
Timberlake, you may recall, was the man who ripped Janet Jackson's bodice at the Super Bowl in 2004, exposing her breast, causing a huge uproar and bringing about a big FCC fine for CBS (which is still being contested in the courts). Prior to that, he and *NSync performed during the 2001 halftime show.
Murphy has said he wants the artist for the Super Bowl episode to be a draw for the guy-heavy audience to stick around after the game (He's also said he could see JT playing Matthew Morrison's younger brother). Do you think Timberlake fits that bill?

As a guy who watches the Super Bowl every year I won't be tuning in to watch Justin Timberlake. That is for sure. I'm not a big fan of his at all. Isn't most of his fans female and not male? His voice is too high for me, he sings like his nuts are in a vice.
From Britney Spears to Justin Timberlake .. What has America come to thinking these people are legends? I'm rooting for a Michael Jackson or a Mariah Carey Episode.. My fantasy is to see Santana and Quinn fight each other for Puck in a remake of the HEARTBREAKER video
Lea has been saying she wants JT on glee for ever now. She was just speculating like everyone else. Ryan Murphy has something bigger and better than Timberlake for the Super Bowl.
This is pretty dumb. She isn't go to say who it is for one and two she has mentioned Justin Timberlake as a good guest choice for months now. Do some reserch before posting nonsense.
I'm sorry, but Mariah Carey is FAR from a legend. She's a joke. She has to act stupid and stoned to get any attention when her records bomb.
A Michael Jackson episode, a Bruce Springsteen episode, even a Duran Duran episode could be great "legend" episodes.
Are you kidding me? Now all of a sudden Justin wants to admit that he was actaully at the 2004 SB let alone about of the Wardrobe malfunction. He was all too happy to let Janet tak ALL the blame back then. Hell did anyone even know Justin was there? He got off so Scott clean that the media started to report that Janet Jackson flashed her own ******. Now that the heat died down it's ok for his punk *** to associate himself with it now. Janet deserves a glee show if anything she is the Legend and the ont who was treated so unfairly in all of that scandle.
People - Justin is not going to be the glee superbowl show. It just isn't. Read the other comments Lea Michele has been saying his names for months as a person she would like on the show. She isn't going to spill something like that at a red carpet party. Please. If anything she said this to get people off the real theme of that superbowl show.
To the person who said Mariah is a joke..That's your opinion and not a fact. I don't like any of the male artists that you mentioned so does that make them a Joke? Facts don't lie Mariah Carey has sold nearly 200 millon records world wide and scored 18 number 1 hits in just 20 years of her career beating Elvis. Mariah didn't win THE ARTIST OF THE MILLENIUM AWARD alongside Michael Jackson without working her butt off and don't get me started on how many awards she has won including the LEGENDARY ones. If these achievemnts are a joke then you're insane!

To the people who think Mariah is a legend, how come she's laughed at in the tabloids all the time? You don't see REAL legends laughed at. Selling records in Europe really just serves to make people MORE of a joke because most Europeans have no taste in music at all. Same with South America. David Hasselhoff is considered a legend in Germany.
Bruce Springsteen IS a legend, and I know you have heard of him unless you're a freaking retard.
If you want a REAL legend, let's talk Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis Presley, Sarah Vaughn, Nancy Wilson. None of those people needed studio magic to make themselves sound good. Mariah Carey without modern studio production would just be a screeching banshee. THAT is a fact.
