Emmys 2010: 'Modern Family' wins! Now we have a few notes
"Modern Family," you've just won the Emmy for outstanding comedy series. Congratulations! You're fabulous -- couldn't be better. Don't change a thing. Now, can we talk about how to change the show and make it better?
That was the gist of a comedy piece during Sunday's (Aug. 29) Emmy telecast in which a (fake) network suit attempted to sell the cast on ways to "improve" the show in its second season. Things like "inter-network-cross-pollinasynergism" -- i.e., having Stewie from "Family Guy" as Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron's (Eric Stonestreet) newly adopted second child -- and shooting in 3-D (cue Sofia Vergara walking straight toward the camera).
The piece aired well before "Modern Family" won the award for best comedy -- one of three Emmys it took home Sunday, in addition to the three it won at last week's Creative Arts ceremony -- but it's not hard to imagine some overzealous network executive trying to push these ideas on the show in the name of making it better.
Adding George Clooney to the cast, though? That might work. Take a look at the video.
Are you happy about "Modern Family's" win? What do you think of the video?

Loved it - proving once again that Clooney is so awesome he doesn't even have to say much to create magic on screen!
