'Dancing with the Stars': Kirstie Alley? Hasselhoff? Who to expect for Season 11
There's not much time separating us from ABC's August 30 press conference to reveal the Season 11 cast for "Dancing with the Stars."
The network won't comment on any details until they've made their official group announcement, but we're starting to get a pretty good of how the season will look.
And it's looking pretty good.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino
Per usual, all parties involved are keeping mum on the matter, but the current season of "The Jersey Shore" has created something of a perfect storm of Situation-related publicity. So in addition to the fact that multiple outlets claim his involvement is a go, it just sort of makes sense.
David Hasselhoff
File this one under 'things that make perfect sense.' US reports that the recently roasted "Baywatch" star is a go for "DWTS." The series could certainly do worse, and this is just the kind of attention the showman craves. He might even be sort of great.
Audrina Patridge
As we reported, the ink is dry on Audrina Patridge's contract. The lucky lady who holds the honor of appearing in more episodes of "The Hills" than anyone else will indeed dance in the upcoming season -- but will her soft spokenness register with the older-skewing audience? We're already having trouble hearing her.
Brandy Norwood
In other seasons, Brandy's rumored inclusion might have garnered more headlines, but she's up against some stiff competition in the celebrity department. The latest update has her still in negotiations, but it seems like a safe bet.
Kirstie Alley
No, this is not a mistake, and the "Cheers" star is not actually going out for "Dance Your Ass Off." In Touch reports Alley will be one of the names called during the announcement. And though it seems like the perfect move for her, we'll remain cautiously skeptical until we actually see her twirling on the dance floor.
Michael Bolton
They can't all be exciting folks. Radar reports that Bolton has been in negotiations for months and will likely sign before the week is out. May we be the first to predict he becomes romantically involved with his partner?
Florence Henderson
No self-respecting "DWTS" cast works without a slightly loony senior gal, and since Betty White is too busy and Cloris Leachman has already done it, Mama Brady seems like an ideal choice. Star reports she's already signed on.
Jennifer Grey
Star also has "Dirty Dancing" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" Jennifer Grey joining the cast, which seems odd, considering the entire world has already watched her learn how to dance once before. Let the 'Nobody puts baby in a corner' jokes begin.
Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez
ABC likes to keep things in the family, so it wouldn't be a surprise if the happy "Bachelorette" couple were included in the new cast -- but it may not be in the cards. Multiple outlets have them out of the running.
So what do you think -- is there anyone in particular you'd like to see rounding out the cast if these end up panning out?

What happened to the K-Fed rumors? I NEED MORE K-FED. Listening to Playing With Fire just isn't cutting it anymore... :P
I've never watched it regularly, but if Reba ever signs on, I'm there!
Ummm wasn't Kfed a back up dancer? So again, it wouldn't be fair.
As long as annoying Derek Hough gets stuck with Kirstie Alley, then I'm OK with it.
I'm shocked that there is no Levi Johnston on the list, just because he is the tabloid type that seems to be the go these days. Personally, I would like to see Cheryl Ladd, Brian Austin Green, David Henrie from Wizards of Waverly Place and Alyssa Milano.
Well, then, I may have to kiss DWTS good-bye.
I'd love to see David Archuleta on DWTS. I remember at one point during American Idol someone suggested he date Shawn Johnson. I thought that they would be a cute couple too!
I think season 10 had the most diverse cast in terms of all types of personalities,I have never really thought about who will be on , but I wish they would add Genie Francis,a superstar daytime star that was on General hospital and attracted 10 million viewers a day,2 this day,she is so popular ABC still brings her back for short terms stories, she is one of the few actress that lights up the scene when she is in it,She's done other soaps like Days and AMC,but I am surprised she does not work more, she seems 2 be happily married to the guy on star trek, her lifetime intimate portrait portrayed her happy for her great success at a young age,but sad she missed out on allot of her teenage years working on the soap,oh well,I am not related 2 her and she did not pay me for this endorsement :) :) I did mail her a letter when she was on ALL MY CHILDREN and she or the person who answers her mail a signed autograph picture,ABC put tony geary and genie Francis or at least genie Francis on DWTS and the saga continues.....
Kathy, I think Archie is a little busy with the new album coming out. However Allison Iraheta needs to get exposure for her terrific album that just is not selling, I'd like to see her do it.
Can you imagine the LOUD factor with Kirsti Alley on there???
