'Castle' casts 'Secret Life' star as Alexis' new boyfriend

Things may not be looking so hot for Castle and Beckett, but at least someone on "Castle" is getting some action.

Young Alexis Castle (Molly Quinn) gets her first steady boyfriend in episode four of the upcoming season, currently slated to air October 11. And ABC announced it's borrowing "Secret Life of the American Teenager" star Ken Baumann for the recurring role.

No, it's not technically her first love interest, and it probably won't be her last. When we caught up with Quinn at Comic-Con, she sounded off on how the protective nature of "Castle's" cast and crew will probably keep her from ever sharing too much screen time with any guys.

"What's so funny is that with Andrew Marlowe [the creator], I'm like his little girl," she said, addressing the possibility of a boyfriend in Season 3. "So whenever he tries to give me a boyfriend, he'll come to the set, take one look at them, and the next thing I know they're written off. I don't know how long any of them will ever last. She'll probably become a nun."

You heard it, Baumann. Don't get too comfortable.
