'Big Brother' U.K. house floods, 'Access Hollywood Live' gets hosts
All the nighttime TV news in easy, snack-sized form."Access Hollywood" anchor Billy Bush and "Shaq VS." host Kit Hoover have been named the hosts of "Access Hollywood Live." The show launches Sept. 13 and will feature in-studio guests and female-friendly segments. Britney Spears may be "Glee"-ful, but Kings of Leon is not. They have decided not to give the show the rights to use their music because they didn't want to be sell-outs. [NME]
Don't want to see "The Expendables" in the theater? You can watch it on Spike TV -- in 2013. Lionsgate has sold Sylvester Stallone's new action flick to Spike TV after last week's $34.8 million theatrical opening. Spike TV, which also purchased "Kick Ass" earlier this year, will air its latest movie purchase in April 2013. [THR]
PBS' "Nightly Business Report," the country's most-watched daily business news show, has been sold to NBR Worldwide. The deal marks the first time that a major nightly news broadcast produced for PBS and owned by one of its affiliates has been acquired by a private entity. The price was not disclosed. [Reuters]
The U.K. version of "Big Brother" has taken the contestants out of the house due to massive flooding from a freak storm. A spokesperson for the show confirms "all of the housemates were evacuated as a precautionary measure. They are currently put up in alternative accommodation while we are assessing the situation."
