An 'ER' reunion at the Emmys, 'Buffy's' James Marsters returns to TV
The nighttime TV snacks in bite-sized form.George Clooney is receiving the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award at the Emmys on Sunday (Aug. 29) -- and former "ER" flame Julianna Margulies will be the one presenting it to him. Aww, a Doug-Carol reunion! We love it. [NBC]
James Marsters, best known for playing Spike on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," will return to TV on Syfy's new show "Three Inches." Marsters will play Troy, leader of a band of superheroes. [Twitter]
Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, creator of "The View," are creating a unisex version of the hit talkshow for the West Coast, in an afternoon timeslot. Former "Today" show host Bryant Gumbel is on the short list for one of the hosts. [NY Daily News]
NBC is delaying the launch of its new fall reality series "School Pride" by three weeks. Instead of Sept. 24, the show will now debut on Oct. 15. Two two-hour "Dateline" episodes will air on Fridays instead. [NBC]
Major Garrett is leaving Fox News and giving up his front-row seat at White House news briefings in order to join National Journal. His last day as Chief White House correspondent for Fox News is Sept. 3 [THR]
