'American Idol's' Kimberley Locke: Learning to hit high style notes

Kimberley Locke took center stage on "American Idol" because of her voice in Season 2, but she's back on camera because of her evolving style.Locke, who's never lacked confidence, likes the way she looks as she models tight blouses and jeans on "You're Wearing That?!?" -- the mother/daughter makeover show -- premiering Thursday, on WE TV.
"As an artist, it's about taking it to the next level, not being afraid to go there," she tells Zap2it. "I did a performance, and wore a one-piece body suit, with black leggings. When you are curvy everything is right there in your face. It's not intentional."
After fashion maven Luciene Salomone explains that she should wear V-necks and looser slacks, Locke says she shops a little differently.
"When I have a performance, I shop very specifically for that, instead of just saying 'I can wear this,'" she says.
Locke, who credits Randy Jackson, with helping her take her career forward, says she learned a lot on this show.
"For me, it's to not be afraid to step outside of my comfort zone," she says. "And when you are shopping, make sure that you love it."

"never lacked confidence"? I'd say more like she was haughty. She has a decent voice, sings stuff too young for her, needs to sing like Jill Scott-ish, and needs to be a bit more humble in her persona. Might help launch her further. Nah, it's innate with her...she's too snotty for me.
But I will say she isn't bad looking physically, just the insides ruin the outsides for me.
Ummm she was season 2 of idol not season 3???? I wish people would get it right this is not the first article that I have read that said 3...
