'American Idol': Kara DioGuardi reportedly tried to quit months ago

Her father Joe DioGuardi told New York news show "Capital Tonight" that Kara DioGuardi wants to do another year of "American Idol," but E! Online is reporting that DioGuardi actually tried to quit the show two months ago."She went to FOX two months ago and told them she didn't want to do another season," a source tells E!. "She's ready to move on. She did two years and thinks that's enough." The source also says that DioGuardi is still under contract, so she can't take meetings about new projects because she might still be asked back to "Idol."
If "American Idol" can't nail down Jennifer Lopez (as the rumors have said they are trying), do you think the panel should be Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Steven Tyler?

Kara was the most annoying judge A.I. has had.
Just not feeling her.I don't think it was the right choice as a judge. This was not her best performance. I didn't 'believe' her as a judge. She didn't 'nail' her judge job. I think the other judges have her beat. This may be the last judging she will do for A.I. This might be the end of the road for her.
Kara is a little pitchy....
Why is there a need to pick on Kara. Out of all the judges that are or were on the panel, she's the next best thing besides Simon in honesty and knowing the biz!! If Idol wants to change it's image as a sinking ship, then they need to look at the HOST Ryan Seacrest!! Then the judges...I'd rather see Kara stay than have JLo as a judge. If not Kara then Shania would be perfect!! Other than that Kara doesn't deserve redicule!!!
Yeah and ellen isn't gay either.
They were both canned.

Kara was a horrible judge. You could tell who she liked and who she never gave a chance. She 'judged' by who SHE personally liked as a person and not their singing ability, and didn't judge fairly.
I find it funny that after all her panting and drooling over Casey at the beginning...once her husband was mentioned, she completely did a turnaround and beat up Casey almost every week forward. It was always something that 'disappointed' her about him after that. It was like pulling teeth to get a positive comment about him after that. And yet, he made it to 3rd place!!
She came across really fake and staged. I'm sorry, but I have a really hard time believing that she was so moved that she broken down in Simon's arms...really?
Drama...oh, and a lousy judge.
If she was this honest, awesome judge, she would not have let people through because they had a 'story'. We all have freaking stories about the tragedies in our lives...that doesn't mean you can sing. She wasn't very honest and judged them fairly!! The other judges also did that to a point, but I think she was the worst. She should use her talent and stick to writing songs behind the scenes.
Sorry, she was a bad, drama queen, phony judge.
Bye bye Kara...you did not make it through to the next round....
Kara never felt right for the show. And this last year I really disliked the way she clung all over Simon. It looked ridiculous.
Replace Ryan Seacrest. That would be amazing.
