'American Idol' Fantasia on 'Lopez Tonight' opens up about suicide attempt

"American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino sits down with George Lopez on "Lopez Tonight" Wednesday (Aug. 25) to talk about her recent married man/sex tape scandal and subsequent suicide attempt. George: "I've said this a lot to people who have sat in that chair, but I don't think I've ever meant it more than right now. I am so happy to see you in that chair and alive and well."
Fantasia: "Thank you."
George: "In this business, it's not easy and life isn't easy and sometimes people make decisions that aren't always the best and two weeks ago ... you attempted to take your own life? It sounds strange isn't it?"
Fantasia: "It sounds strange now. At the time, I really wasn't thinking about people or anything else. I kinda wanted to be away from people and the judgment and what people thought about me because it seemed like it never stopped, it was constantly always something about me. It could be, 'your hair was pretty but the dress ain't too well.' 'Well she looked good but I don't like what she said.' 'I don't like how she talked.' 'She takes off her shoes when she performs.' There was always something about Fantasia so at the time I really wasn't thinking about all of that..."
George: "Girl, you need to get off Twitter! Don't listen to all that..."

Peaches, if she had sex with your husband, you'd be singing a different tune. She turned guilt in to an art form by PLAYING THE VICTIM. It's not a coincidence she pretended to commit suicide when she was called out for being a home wrecker. Enough with this hack. I will not comment anymore about her.
Everybody makes mistakes and uses poor judgement. No one here is perfect. With that said I'm glad she is alive and well too. Fantasia is a beautiful, sexy, and talented woman that deserves better. When Angelina stole Brad Pitt, no one said anything. So, I say to hell with all the haters and "perfect" people out there.
Well to all I will say this one thing and this is something I am passionate about because i dont blog, I dont even have a facebook. Us as individuals need to STOP being judgemental of others because there is only ONE person that has the right to judge us and his name is GOD. To all that want to sit back and judge this young lady for whatever, I say this one thing, keep living and breathing and trust you me, you will find yourself in some situations that you had no intentions of being in or don't even know how you got there because this is this thing called LIFE. Fantasia, I want you to hold your head up, take a deep breath and remember he is GOD!!! I love you girl!!! A real person and fan!!!
Hey Nikki, I keep myself out of bad situations because I base all my decisions on good judgement. So go ahead and support adultery, and then praise GOD at the same time all you want. In the end, you are the hypocrite.

God is a forgiving God, so that's why Nikki said what she said. We all want to be forgiven, no matter how bad the deed. I'm glad I understand that, because no one is perfect. Even though you say you base all your decisions on good judgment, you don't know what the future holds for you.
