Wow! ABC's Wipeout beat the season premiere of CBS's Big Brother Also Rookie Blue seems to holding steady. Next season ABC should air even more original programing. Reruns aren't as lucrative these days because of online, ondemand, recorders etc.... On the other hand reruns are still profitable and hook viewers for the next season.

reruns are profitable cuz it cost next to nothing to air.

Woof- true that reruns are profitiable but more importantly they help build the audience for the following season. Keep in mind that Fresh new programing USUALLY garners more viewers. TV fans and critics have been clamoring for new shows in the summer. Too bad much of it is not very good.

Bet Jackie Chan is crying to daddy that her Big Brother show was number two in its slow. Sad how she has to have a career by sleeping with ld men. Poor thing.

The last comment SEEMS to be implying that Big Brother was beat by Wipeout. However it did tie in the young adult demo. Also over 7 million for a low budget reality show is not too shaby. Still shocked that Wipeout is beating the competition. Never used to as well.

Wipeout cleaned up and Community wipedout! Those Community marathon numbers are abysmal even in reruns. Worse of all, the ratings decreased hour by hour.

I despise Julie Chen...a hack with no talent ONLY employed because she happens to be married to and banging the boss at the same time, Les Moonvies. What a ditz! Glad BB is losing steam!!!

Screw you! I love Julie Chen and Big Brother.

Of all the new scripted summer shows I thought Persons Unknown would be the biggest success. Little did I know, Rookie Blue, would become the #1 new scripted show by almost doubling the viewer totals of Persons Unknown. Congratulations to Rookie Blue, the best new scripted show on tv this summer.

David P., who r u, some kind of PR person for Rookie Blue?? jeesh.
