'Survivor,' 'Undercover Boss' and other CBS press tour notes

survivor-nicaragua-320.jpg"Survivor" will stage a battle for the ages in the fall.

Wait -- make that battle of the ages.

"Survivor: Nicaragua" will organize its two tribes by age when the season kicks off on Sept. 15. One tribe, Espada, will consist of people over 40, and the other, La Flor, will be made up of people under 30. (Sorry, thirtysomethings. You don't get to play this time.)

The cast -- including, possibly, former Dallas Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson -- will be revealed in a couple of weeks.

- CBS has also revealed four of the executives who will be taking part in "Undercover Boss" this season -- including the show's first female CEO.

She is Kimberly K. Schaefer, the CEO of Great Wolf Resorts, which operates indoor water parks. The others are DirecTV chairman, president and CEO Mike White; NASCAR senior vice president Steve Phelps; and Chiquita Brands International chairman and CEO Fernando Aguirre.

- CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler says there may never have been a more aptly named show than "Chaos," the CIA drama the network recently picked up for midseason.

A brief recap of the show's ride so far: It had decent buzz during pilot season but didn't initially make the CBS schedule, which surprised many of the aforementioned buzzers. Then it was back in the mix, only to apparently fall out again when the network and producer 20th Century Fox had trouble reaching a deal before the actors' options expired at the end of June. The two sides finally came together last week.

"It was a roller coaster," Tassler admits. "At the end of the day, we loved the show and wanted to get it picked up. I'm just happy we are where we are and were able to smooth things out."
