Selena Gomez 'heartbroken' to leave 'Wizards of Waverly Place'

"Wizards of Waverly Place" will be losing some magic after this season.

Selena Gomez confirms to MTV during an interview for "Ramona and Beezus" that this is indeed the final season for her on the Disney Channel show that launched her into teen queendom.

"Unfortunately, I'm doing my last season of my show, which I'm really heartbroken about," says the 17-year-old. "That's gonna be a terrible time for me."

There will be a little bit more "Wizards" to come though.

She adds, "Then we do a movie for my show, which I'll be excited to end it with, and then a tour."

Gomez also discusses a possible title to her upcoming album and how her music has evolved. She recently finished shooting "Monte Carlo," which co-stars "Glee's" Cory Monteith, "Gossip Girl's" Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy of "Melrose Place."

"Ramona and Beezus," in which Gomez plays the older sister Beezus, hits theaters Friday, July 23.

Maybe I'm a little crazy, but Glee should pick her up for Season 3 so she can carry on once the current regulars "graduate". Something to think about.
