'Parenthood,' 'Outlaw' get early starts in the fall

parenthood-320.jpgNBC has tweaked its premiere schedule a little, moving up the debuts of a couple shows and pushing "Law & Order: Los Angeles" back a week.

The network will try to take advantage of the "America's Got Talent" finale in mid-September by premiering "Parenthood" and "Outlaw" behind the two-night event. "The Apprentice" will also get an early premiere.

"Parenthood" will kick off its second season at 10 p.m. ET Tuesday, Sept. 14, after the final "AGT" performance episode. That's a week earlier than NBC had previously announced.

"Outlaw," starring Jimmy Smits as a Supreme Court justice who resigns and re-enters private practice, will get a preview after the "Got Talent" finale at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15. It moves to its regular 10 o'clock Friday home on Sept. 24. "The Apprentice" will get a two-hour debut at 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 before moving to 10 the following week.

As for the "Law & Order" block on Wednesday nights, "SVU" will open with a two-hour premiere at 9 p.m. Sept. 22. That moves the premiere of "L&O: LA" back to Sept. 29.

Sweet

not much for me here...
i'll pass and wait for FOX and ABC's shows..

Sad how NBC is the new CW, what a loser network. The Jimmy Smith show sounds like a poor dude. sad.

Smit's Outlaw is really bad. Saw the pilot and it is the worst pilot on the fall schedule.
