NBC promotes 'Community' with online summer school

NBC is keen for viewers to catch up on "Community" this summer. The under-watched and obscenely funny sitcom recently got its own season 1 highlights marathon, and the network just packaged a reel of its comedic duo's greatest moments.

"Bromance" explores the unique relationship between Troy (Donald Glover) and Abed (Danny Pudi), which largely developed during the tag of each episode. (That's TV lingo for the little aside that plays during the closing credits.)

It's great, but it doesn't do much for people who are already fans of the show. If NBC wants to fill our summer vacation with "Community" goodness, how about some more shorts from Cool Abed Films? Most web-exclusive contributions from TV shows miss the mark completely, but "Community" actually has a viral series already built in. The fall season is still two months away. Get cracking, NBC.

At least, for now, there's Bromance:

And, if you haven't seen it yet, an awesome short from Abed:

Who runs NBC? Clowns? Seriously, these guys need to learn how to market. They are home to two of the funniest shows on tv right now with Community and Parks and Recs and they both do terrible in the ratings. What does that tell you NBC? Market better and you will see success. See how that works? Morons. The lot of em'!

It's gonna end up just like Arrested Development. No real promotion so nobody watches. Hopefully someone gets video of Donald Glover cussing out NBC like David Cross did to Fox.
