'Life Unexpected' snags former 'Melrose Place' star
The first season of the CW's "Life Unexpected" didn't focus too much on the school life of the newly un-orphaned Lux Cassidy (Brittany Robertson), but all that could change now that she has something more fun to look at than homework. Fancast reports that the series has tapped "Melrose Place" star Shaun Sipos for the recurring role of Eric, a new teacher at Lux's Westmonte High School. No official word yet from the network, but we'll keep you posted.
Sipos most recently played David Breck, the jewel thief with the heart of gold and the strongest link between "Melrose 2.0" and its predecessor (he was Michael Mancini's estranged son after all). He also fathered his own half-brother (we think), which is one of the many reasons he was available for this new gig.
No, there's no details on if interaction between Eric and Lux will indeed be cause for scandal, but it does make you wonder. Do you want to see Lux pull a Pacey Witter? Opinions welcome in the comments.

Shaun was graet on MELROSE and now they're gonna waste his talent on Life Unexpected??
That's just as sad as wasting Katies talent on Gossip Girl.
CW execs all need a smack behind their heads and they need to put Katie and Shaun in solid shows like The Vampire Diaries, 90210 or One Tree Hill.
Shut it, Sid. If you had any common sense, you'd realize Life Unexpected is one of the highest-quality series on The CW.
The fact that you would mention putting him on 90210 or OTH tells me all I need to know about you.
LUX is a great show and well written and acted. Melrose didn't have the same caliber of writing and acting, sadly.
i dont understand how people can not like life unexpected! it a perfect show. so everybody thats dont like it dont say anything an watch your stupid shows, an dont complain about the cast of this one!

It's should've been put on Lifetime or something.
Hopefully it'll bomb in the slot it was given. TUE@9/8C will be the beginning of the end of this stupid little series.

Why don't you keep your opinions to yourself cause clearly know one agree's with yours. And One tree hill was good before Lucas and Peyton left, and well 90210 sure if you like a show about a bunch of rich kids with problems, where as life unexpected actually has a message to it, and clearly the actors on it are worth watching cause I do believe it made it to its second season unlike melrose place that might tell you something about the acting quality, it sucked. And you should be happy that katie and shaun made it on two new shows instead of bashing the shows there on.
