'Law & Order: Los Angeles' books 'Supernatural's' Jim Beaver for premiere
We can never get a straight answer out of Jim Beaver about "Supernatural," so when Zap2it caught up with him at San Diego Comic-Con we spoke to him instead about his other projects. Beaver revealed that he's been tapped for a guest-starring role on the series premiere of the highly anticipated "Law & Order: Los Angeles.""It's just a single guest shot," he tells us. The episode will begin filming shortly; in fact, Beaver has a wardrobe fitting today (July 27). Skeet Ulrich and Alfred Molina have been cast as series regulars, but we're still waiting on more casting news for the series, which will air at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays this fall on NBC.
Since Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character bit the bullet on "Supernatural," Beaver's character Bobby Singer has been the go-to father figure, and his "Law & Order" gig won't stray too far. "People get murdered on 'Law and Order' shows, and some of those people have families," he tells us, beating around the bush a bit before finally saying, "I'm playing the father of a murder victim."
The episode will be directed by Alan Coulter, who also directed Robert Pattinson's "Remember Me" and many episodes of "The Sopranos." Beaver says, "Coulter is a good friend of mine. It's nice dramatic stuff. It'll be fun to play something that doesn't have demons in it."
He pauses and adds, "Although, I do like playing with demons."

The show is not highly anticipated at least not by me. Law and Order is a NY based show. I could care less about Law and Order Los Angeles but then again NBC doesn't care about what its viewers want.
