'Glee's' Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer talk Outfest honors and Emmy noms
It has been a big week for Jane Lynch. It started with Thursday's (July 8) Emmy nomination for outstanding supporting actress for "Glee" and then she was honored by Los Angeles Outfest for the impact her body of work has had on both mainstream and LGBT audiences.
"I was thrilled," she told OTRC at Outfest about her Emmy nom. "I woke up about 5:20 to a phone call from my agent. You know I was with my wife and she was like so excited. It's wonderful to have somebody with you, to share it with."
She also called "Glee" castmate Chris Colfer her "hero." Colfer presented her with the Outfest award and also nabbed an Emmy nomination himself that morning.
