'Glee': Cheyenne Jackson fills big shoes in Season 2

cheyenne-jackson-joining-glee.jpg
In a case of fairly obvious casting, Broadway star and recurring "30 Rock" guest Cheyenne Jackson just booked a gig on "Glee." But what may surprise you is that it isn't a exactly a new role. Spoilers ahead.

EW reports that Jackson will replace Idina Menzel's Shelby Corcoran as the coach of rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline.

After all, she disappeared at the end of Season 1 with plans to de-glee -- and Puck and Quinn's baby in hand.

Jackson's got a full plate this coming season. In addition to the work he'll pick up at "Glee," he's signed on to appear in Larry David's New York-filmed Season 8 of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and, presumably, an open door at "30 Rock."

What?? Oh no, please not!
How can he ever replace her??
And does that mean Idina won't come back??

Idina Menzel will definitely be back. In the season finale, she stated herself that she wanted to start a family. So he would play the new coach, but Ryan Murphy has confirmed that she will definitely be back. Hopefully, as a co coach of New Directions, since Rachael's there and Quinn and Park are the parents of her baby.
