'Captain America' and 'Thor' Comic-Con posters: Wow
Marvel Studios and Paramount released a pair of Comic-Con-only posters for its movies "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," and let's just say that if the films are anywhere near as cool as the artwork, fanboy hearts will be warmed in summer 2011.
Hyperbolic? Maybe a little. But it's the eve of Comic-Con, where hype rules all. And come on -- these posters are just great. First, take a look at Cap (Chris Evans in the movie) standing tall in battle:
The other poster is from "Thor" and features the god of thunder (Chris Hemsworth) battling Loki (Tom Hiddleston) with his mighty hammer. And it's just about as impressive as the "Captain America" poster.
Marvel's release of the "Thor" poster comes on the heels of several still images from the movie hitting the web. The newest is one of Thor and Odin (Anthony Hopkins), which is below. Below that is a wide shot of Odin's throne, which suggests that if nothing else, Kenneth Branagh's movie will at least be pretty to look at.

Marvel will present first looks at "Thor" and "Captain America" on Saturday at Comic-Con.

i can't wait
I'm a Thor fan from the original JIM of August 1962 but I actually prefer the Captain America poster.
The images from the movie are good - both Hemsworth and Thor are looking the part.
The throne looks impressive though the throne room seems a little "sterile"
As an Australian science fiction writer I've also written a lot of Marvel fan fiction:

Cheers
Cool artwork won't make up for the fact that the producers plan on turning out Captain (Not-Too-Much) America (so as not to lose international resales and/or alienate America-haters).
