'Bones': Fan favorite bites the dust as 'gravedigger' arc wraps up
Fans still lamenting last season's continued postponement of a Brennan/Booth hookup on "Bones" have something to look forward to: a big death.
TV Guide reports that an early episode of the series' sixth season finds the Jeffersonian gang putting an end to the "gravedigger" case with one last appearance by the recently convicted Heather Taffet (Deirdre Lovejoy).
But the departure of the show's longest running serial killer doesn't mean smooth sailing. Executive producer Hart Hanson says the end of the gravedigger marks the dawn of a new recurring villain, who'll appear in the same episode.
Hanson says this new nemesis is "someone much worse, who will dog us for the season." Dogging, here, apparently includes killing off a member of the cast.
Now, Hanson's exact words are that "one of our characters will be a victim," and victim doesn't necessarily imply death. But throughout all the high drama of "Bones," can you even name more than a handful of characters of consequence that got the literal axe?
"Bones" producers may want to clean house, and nowhere is there more clutter than the ever-shifting intern pool. Place your bets on any one of the recurring squints who've subbed since Zach was institutionalized for his turn as the cannibal's apprentice.

Let it be Wendall, Fisher or Daisy, please!
Spare Clark & brink Goodman back for a cameo!
Oh I may just believe in God if they bump off the freaking interns!!! Nails on a chalkboard I tell you!!
Please let it be Angela
it's gotta be Sweets. I love the guy, but he's expendable.
I know the whole premise of Bones is, erm, grim, but the tone of the show and the interaction of the characters has always seemed light and even humorous (more Mentalist than Law & Order:SVU or Criminal Minds.)If they kill off a cast member it goes against the spirit of the show.
I wonder if Brennan will come back with Sully (he was sailing in the south Pacific, yes?)
OT - What has happened to Zap2it? It has been gutted. I used to find entertaining recaps almost as episodes finished airing on just about every show. Now there is no place to talk. Heck, I even miss ****!
Well, no matter which character dies, I'm sure the producers will work in some sort of product placement. Perhaps the doornail will have died eating Doritos®, or driving a Nissan Versa®, or while watching "Transformers 3: More Explosions And Adolescent Humor (Working Title)". This is a Fox™ show after all, and when they have a formula that is well-received, they commercialize it until any semblance of artistic integrity is sucked away. Glee anyone?
Maybe they can complete the character assassination of Zack and just kill him off on top of everything else they've done to him.
I reckon they'll go for offing Cam, leaving Michelle a tragic orphan once more.
I'm going to guess and say the new villian will be that Russian mobster who thing Booth owes him a favor.
I'm really worried about the charcters, I love them all! :( My best bet is one of the interns, or perhaps Zack (please not him!).
(I do have to say though, Zack is spelt with a "K". Sorry, it just really annoys me when people get it wrong! DX)
