'Big Brother 12's' new Head of Household -- live updates

We will have live updates throughout the night on the third "Big Brother 12" Head of Household contest, which is an endurance competition. So don't keep reading if you don't want to be spoiled.

Monet was unsurprisingly the second evictee from the "Big Brother" house by a vote of 7 to 2. The only votes to evict Matt were from Kathy and Britney. If you have questions for Monet, please leave them in the comments as we interview her tomorrow morning.

With Monet's eviction, BFF Britney is gunning for the Rachel-Brendon alliance, while Matt, Lane, Enzo and Hayden with their Brigade alliance think they are running the show.

But it will all hinge on who wins the next HOH position -- so keep checking back here all night for updates from the live feeds. The competition is called "Hang 10" and involves staying on surfboard while water pours down on them. The catch is the first five houseguests to drop are the Haves for the week. Who are you rooting for?

9:00 p.m. -- As of the end of the live broadcast, all houseguests are on their boards.

9:07 p.m. -- Lane and Kathy drop almost immediately after the live feeds are back. Wow. Maybe this competition won't go all night after all.

9:09 p.m. -- Rachel is cheerleading Brendon loudly from the sidelines.

9:10 p.m. -- Kristen is down now too.

9:11 p.m. -- Ragan is being dirty about the surfboards going "in and out" of the wall. Naughty!

9:16 p.m. -- Hayden jumps off, Britney falls off.

9:17 p.m. -- To recap, Lane, Kathy, Kristen, Hayden and Britney are the Haves this week. Brendon, Andrew, Enzo, Matt and Ragan are going to be Have Nots -- except for whichever one of them wins HOH.

9:23 p.m. -- General joking around between the guys left. Ragan laughing about setting the gay rights movement two steps back with his taped-to-the-wall West Hollywood crack during the live show.

9:35 p.m. -- Everybody still hanging 10.

9:37 p.m. -- The surfboards are really jerking the contestants around, trying to knock them off.

9:38 p.m. -- Enzo is knocked off, he slipped.

9:44: p.m. -- Brendon tumbles off and seems pretty upset.

9:52 p.m. -- Ragan, Andrew and Matt assure each other that they won't nominate each other or use each other as replacement nominees if the POV is used. We'll see if that stays true this week...

9:59 p.m. -- Men joking about getting their workouts in tonight. Still the same three left.

10:04 p.m. -- The guys are talking about Natalie from last season. Andrew is a not a Natalie fan.

10:16 p.m. -- The guys get a time check from Enzo. Ragan doesn't want to know how long it's been, so Enzo uses hand signals to tell Andrew and Matt what time it is.

10:27 p.m. -- Andrew falls off. So it's down to the bromance pairing of Ragan and Matt.

10:29 p.m. -- Ragan and Matt start dealing.

10:32 p.m. -- Matt wants to get Kathy out, so they're trying to broker a deal where she goes home. Ragan doesn't want Rachel or Brendon nominated.

10:53 p.m. -- The feeds went down for awhile and it looks like the houseguests got pizza. Ragan and Matt still going strong. Perhaps that they couldn't negotiate a deal?

11:25 p.m. -- The feeds have been down again. No word yet on who won the HOH.

11:39 p.m. -- The feeds are back. Matt is the new HOH! Rachel and Matt are hashing out his playing-both-sides thing.

So there you have it -- Matt is the HOH. Do you think he'll stick to his deal with Ragan and nominated Kathy and Andrew?
