It has come to our attention (thanks to our awesome "Big Brother" guest blogger Kevin Campbell) that "Big Brother 12" contestant Matt Hoffman was one of the average Joes on NBC's "Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back."Matt's NBC bio for the show:

Biography
Matt Hoffman is an online courseware developer from Elgin, IL. Matt was born in Chicago and raised in the northwest suburbs of the city and graduated from Bradley University with degrees in radio/TV communications and psychology. He went on "Average Joe" for the experience, the "free vacation" and because he thought it would be "an exciting chapter in his life." The Mensa member feels his best qualities are that he is intelligent, charismatic, funny and "extremely talented" in the areas of music and technology.
According to The Trades recap of the show, Matt was eliminated in the first episode. Their theory was, "Matt left because he was short. He had a cute smile, and I think he'll do okay."
What say you, "Big Brother" fans? Hilarious? Or the most hilarious thing you've heard all day? Remember -- Matt is the one who calls himself "the diabolical super-genius."

After the last couple of weeks, I'm not really a fan of Matt's anymore.

Didn't he say in his interview he has only applied for one reality show ever--Big Brother?? so if this is so, then not only is he a self-proclaimed "super genius" (yeah, right), now he can add Grade A Liar to his resume. oh that's right, we knew that already!! (as he is saying his wife has a disease that she really does not). I know there is deception in the BB house, but for me, THIS CROSSES A MAJOR LINE!!
Maybe he did "only apply" to one. That doesn't mean that he wasn't recruited for another. It's all in the wording. I agree with the rest of your post.
Has anyone heard any more about two of the houseguests knowing each other? I can not remember if Julie made that announcement or the sabatour; if the sabatour said it than it could have just been a lie - but I vaguely remember Julie saying something about it.
I think it is Lane and Britney who know each other after tonight's episode. 8/4/10
here is says that matts marital status is single (on his bio up top) but he always talks about his wife stacy... miss print?
I was pulling for Matt and Ragan, disappointed that he did not throw the brigade under the bus instead of Ragan.
Average Joe is an older reality shows, so he was probably single at the time; he said in episode 1 of B12 that he'd only gotten married in Sept. '09.
