'Bachelorette' Ali on Frank: 'It was a little bit selfish of him'

Judging from the previews, there are big fireworks in store on "The Bachelorette" Monday, July 19. Zap2it caught up with Ali Fedotowsky at the KTLA News Morning Show to find how she feels about the Frank situation.

"I was devastated. I really didn't expect it at all," Ali tells us. "When I knocked on the door and he opened it, my very first thought ... I thought maybe a tragedy like happened. I thought he lost a family member because he seemed so morose!"

This season of "The Bachelorette" had not one, but two guys who came on the show and still had a love interest at home. Does Ali put Frank in the same category as controversial contestant Justin "Rated-R" Rego?

"I would not put him in the same category as Justin," Ali says adamantly. "I still have a lot of respect for Frank. A lot of warm feelings towards him."

However -- "I do think Frank came on the show knowing he had strong feelings for this girl ... I think they broke it off so he could come on the show," she continues. "One of the past other cast members sort of may have mentioned that [Frank] mentioned this girl along the way ... I feel like it was a little bit selfish of him, but I understand why he did it."

With the finale looming, Ali will soon confront her pool of eligible men at the "After the Final Rose" reunion special. Is she nervous to see Frank after the drama from Tahiti?

"I'm not really nervous. I'm interested. I'm intrigued," says Ali. "From what I hear, he's still happy and with the girl that he went home to and if that's the case, good! 'The Bachelorette's' about finding love and I guess if that's the way he figured out that that's who he loves and wants to be with, that's great for him. I feel like it was sort of at my expense, but I am looking forward to seeing him and just sort of hopefully getting some real final closure to everything."

Since Ali's season is coming to a close, we had to ask who from her season she thinks would make a good next "Bachelor." She had to qualify that this is excluding the final two because she can't give anything away.

"From the guys so far, I think Kirk would make a good 'Bachelor.' Kirk is really sort of in touch with his emotions ... I think that's important for a Bachelor to be able to sort of identify and express his feelings and I know Kirk can do that."

"The Bachelorette" airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
