'American Idol': David Archuleta vlogs details on album, video and appearances
The rest of the "American Idol" world may be in turmoil, but at least young David Archuleta remains a constant source of cartoonish grins and non-drama.
The Season 7 runner-up took to YouTube in between writing songs for his upcoming album, "The Other Side of Down," to update fans on the recording process and the general state of his ArchuLife.
So what of "The Other Side of Down?" Well, he's working with producers Steve Diamond, Toby Gad and Lindy Robins. And the first music video, for "Something Bout Love," which shot in downtown Los Angeles in mid-July, should be out soon, as he's just seen -- and enjoyed! -- the final edit.
Archie also spills where you can see him next. Given his two Teen Choice nominations (for American Idol Album and Fanatic Fans), he'll also be appearing as a presenter on the August 9 broadcast.

So refreshing to see David not begging his fans to vote for him to win a Teen Choice Award like some celebrities, cough Justin Bieber or anyone from Disney.
David is so funny and cute. I love his long rambling vlogs best. The distractions were great and I loved his last WAIT to tell us about his brother visiting. And he's so happy and I think relieved to be wrapping up this album after so much work. I can't wait to hear it.
Chuckie is dirty. David is clean. His fans kept tweeting him to put up a vlog but he said he had infection... Prob. on going tooth issues... He never has time to rest. His frequent communications with fans thru blogs, tweets, mobile phone, etc. are not enough and certainly spoiled his fans. They should give him a break.
