'American Idol': Kara DioGuardi reportedly out in judge shake-up
In the wake of Ellen DeGeneres' "American Idol" departure, and Jennifer Lopez's likely addition to the judges' table, there are now murmurs that Kara DioGuardi is officially out of commission for Season 10.
TMZ reports that DioGuardi has been fired, and the series is returning to a three-judge panel. If producers' rumored plan goes through the appropriate contract signings, the three seats will be occupied by Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
FOX is reportedly making its official announcement on the series' future during their Summer Press Tour panel on Monday, August 2.
Zap2it has reached out to FOX for comment, and they have no comment at this time.

What? Steven Tyler??? WHY?? What happened to Harry Conick Jr. or some other better names that were thrown out there. I like Aerosmith, but I don't see him as a judge.
NO!!!!! She was the best judge out of all of them. And she was hot. Guess I won't be watching Idol now. I was thinking "ok, Simon is gone, but Kara is still there..." Stupid American Idol.
Steven Tyler will not make a good judge,can't stand to look at him. Why not Harry Connick,who is handsome and knows a lot about music?
Gee, I guess handsome is a requirement for a judge on TV. Say what you will about Steven's ability to judge but to mention looks is just so shallow. And since he's been in the music business for decades, I think he knows a lot about music as well. That being said, I did want Harry Connick Jr.
I have no idea what kind of judge Steven Tyler will be but I won't miss Kara. She's gotten better but the show does need a major overhaul. Jennifer Lopez is the one who throws me. I don't like that choice at all.
What happened to Bret Michaels?? About a month ago he 'CONFIRMED' the rumors that he would be a judge!
All of the judge shake up might be a sign that is time to put American Idol to rest and move on.
The show needs three judges who are entertaining and also have the clout to be taken seriously. I love Kara as an artist, but Kara isn't fun...she's a bit of a downer.

JLO is SMART,SWEET and SEXY. I met her in person, she was very kind. I also enjoy her music and movies. Time will tell if she will be a good judge. I will be watching.
