'90210': Which male character is gay? Vote now!

gay-90210-character.jpgThe creators of "90210" are trying the "gay character" thing again, the CW confirms to Zap2it. And this time they are not having a character dabble in a gay relationship, like Adrianna did with guest star Rumer Willis in Season 2.

This time the show wants to "address the issue in a real and relatable way," co-executive producer Jennie Urman tells EW. Of course, that's also kiiiinda what they said the last time. But nevermind that. The character who is going to be gay has been narrowed down to one of three choices -- Liam (Matt Lanter), Navid (Michael Steger) and Teddy (Trevor Donovan).

So who do you think it is, "90210" fans? Interestingly, Navid told the NY Daily News back in 2008 when word broke at that time about a gay "90210" character that Navid "really loves women." But perhaps the "90210" creators changed their minds.

I would love to have a gay character on 90210. Frankly, right now I have trouble watching the show because the characters and the story lines are all over the place. There is just nothing interesting to follow from week to week.

But, the character needs to be an intregal part of the show and have a full continuing story line. I gave up on shows like Gossip Girl and Desperate Housewives because their gay characters were only incidental to the show. Give me something tangible with gut-wrenching drama like Brothers & Sisters and I'll be a loyal follower. But, again have it be a real character like the average, insecure boy next door -- not just a stereotypical broadway showtune singing kid like Sean Hayes' character on Will & Grace. Don't worry about the looks if the character is honest, intregal and genuine. Then the looks won't matter. If all you have to go on is looke, you have no show and no followers other than pre-teen airheads. No wonder there are few shows that last beyond a season or two. They rely too heavily on looks, fast pacing and special effects. People don't want that anymore. They want story that will carry through from week to week and that represents their factual lives, not the pretend Bond boy/Bond Girl effect.

Wow, shows actually repeat their storylines when they know it failed the first time? Brave. If I could have one of these guys gay it have to be Teddy, because I like Adrianna and Navid too much and Liam and Annie. So Teddy can go and come out. But I have a feeling it's Navid, what, with Adrianna having done this last year, it can only be acceptable if Navid tries it for a year.

Why not Dixon? I think he´s peferct. His relationship with ivy hasn´t any future and Silver/teddy, Naomi/Liam/Annie and Navid/adrianna is right. I mean, i think dixon is pretty boring. Maybe if he is gay, his drama will be more interesting :)

That settles it. I'm officially done with this show. Why is it that every show has to make a character gay. We all know where this is going. He will be, then he'll struggle, then he'll fall in love with whatever girl he was with in the first place. It's so predictable why even go down this road? They tried it last season and it was a bust. Every show has done this angle. Why not come up with something orginal for once.

Done...you are a moron. I could ask the same about shows that insist on progressing the WASPy hetero agenda. Add up the gays, blacks, latinos and other nationalities and YOU are the minority, so why should you be so well represented?
