TV ratings: NBA Finals Game 7 dominates Thursday
Fast National ratings for Thursday, June 17, 2010Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals wasn't especially pretty on the court, but the Los Angeles Lakers' victory in a tight game sure looks nice in the ratings.
ABC posted a huge win Thursday night thanks to its coverage of the Finals, averaging 18.7 million viewers and a 10.6 rating/19 share among households in primetime (those numbers will change some when the live broadcast is figured in). It led the night by more than 10 million viewers, with CBS (7.9 million, 5.2/9) a distant second. FOX (5.1 million, 3.2/6) came in third. This is HUGE, ABC should have used the NBA to lanuch one of there hotly anticipated summer series. With these super bowl type ratings it would have been great exposure ;-)
its so sad how old people watch boaring reality shows on ABC, a bunch of guys bouncing a ball, so sad the porr things
yoo said it M eow, the porr old foggies just watching that dull crapp on ABCD the porr things.
THE REAL RATINGS FINISH: CBS, FOX, NBC and CW. ABC programming was PRE-EMPTED in favor of a national cable telecast airing of The NBA Finals on ESPN. ABC Sports has been dead since SEPT 2006. The Cable and Telecommunications Association are reportedly VERY,VERY angry with ESPN and with Nielsen. So you ABC homer, when should we expect the renaming to the DISNEY BROADCASTING NETWORK, with news provided by CNN?
ESPN will be hearing from us soon
All you should care about is that enough people watch your favorite shows so they stay on.
Your success in life shouldn't be measure by how many people like what you like.
Lose the high school mentality.
NBA is over....ABC back to 4th place.
ABC is dying like what happened to their sports division. ABC will be renamed to the DISNEY BROADCASTING NETWORK!
ABC is dying like what happened to their sports division. ABC will be renamed to the DISNEY BROADCASTING NETWORK!
We are prepared to fine ESPN!
