'The Good Guys': Bradley Whitford, Colin Hanks talk female troubles
On Monday (June 7), the official series premiere of "The Good Guys" will air and, well, lady drama is causing lots of trouble for Jack and Dan.As you may have guessed from the first episode, Jack doesn't seem to be completely over his ex, Liz. But Dan, being the great partner he is, thinks Jack should go out with a cute cop to make Liz jealous.
Let's just say it's not the best idea.
At all.
And Dan... you know, he just likes girls in general. Any girl. All girls. In fact, he ends up in bed with another witness this week.
When Korbi TV hit up the Dallas set, we asked stars Colin Hanks (Jack) and Bradley Whitford (Dan) what they thought of their characters' love lives.
"The relationship that my character, Jack, has with Jenny Wade's character, Liz, is they've had a history, they're no longer together but there [are] some roadblocks in the way of them reconnecting," Hanks tells us. "It's a little bit of a will-they-won't-they get back together [situation]. But Jack is not nearly as smooth as Dan is when it comes to the ladies."
Ah yes, who can forget Dan's quick and easy hookup in the first episode?
"I think we jumped into bed after two sentences?" Whitford says. "But she recognized me, which will get me right into the sack."
So will that be a recurring theme on the show? Women recognize Dan and he jumps in bed with them?
"No, no, no, I was talking about my [real] life," Whitford clarifies, laughing.
Oh, Bradley.
Whitford does have a real answer to the question, so watch the video for that. Plus, he and Hanks tell us what catchphrase they think will be taking over America...
