'Real Housewives NY' reunion: Alex McCord says Jill Zarin 'doesn't actually listen'
After a literally insane season of "The Real Housewives of New York City," Bravo promises that the reunion special will be the most dramatic one ever.
Alex McCord told us that they're not kidding. In fact, she says that the two-hour special came out of approximately nine hours of shooting. And what they culled from the footage will not disappoint.
"I think that it's certainly very dramatic," Alex tells Zap2it. "Everything that we had to talk about, we did. I imagine that it's going to be nails-on-the-edge-of-the-seat for the whole two hours."
In the sneak peek above, Alex gets a chance to call Jill Zarin out onscreen for things that happened primarily when the cameras weren't rolling.
"We touch on some of the really crazy Machiavellian stuff that went on behind the scenes," says Alex. "Where various housewives tried to control things by trying to skew storylines to their advantage, trying to strategize by getting other housewives not to film with other people."
She says we did see a little bit of that on the show when Jill sent a threatening email to Kelly Bensimon after she found out that the former model had supposedly made up with Bethenny Frankel at Brooklyn Fashion Weekend.
"You see that it's very clear that to some of us it's a reality show and it's a platform to do good things either for ourselves or for charity," Alex points out. "For others, it encompasses their whole life."
In the clip, Alex confronts Jill about placing negative stories about the other housewives in the press. Jill then accused Alex of trying to place a negative story about her in the press, as well.
"It's funny how I was calling her out for feeding stories to the press and she's bragging about she's got her next installment," says Alex. "It has been three weeks since we filmed the reunion and I still have no idea what she was talking about."
In the end, we asked Alex if she felt better about confronting Jill on the reunion special.
"I wish I could say yes," she says. "But the answer is no and I'll tell you why. Both at the reunion and if you go back to Jen's cocktail party -- the "mean girl" and "you're still in high school" conversation - Jill doesn't actually listen."
She adds, "Either she's completely manipulative or she's clueless. Neither one is a good thing."
"The Real Housewives of New York City" reunion airs Thursday, June 10 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

Alex, doesn't shut up, doesn't provide evidence, doesn't own her participation, and is an outcast who found her five minutes of friendom. She is on her very high horse, from the so called positive comments on Bravo. There are many comments that don't make it on the network. Alex is a pawn, and though she thinks she is playing her own game, she's being played.
Alex, Ramona, and Bethenny are authentic and are real today's women and are totally believeable. Jill, Kelly, and LuAnn are fake wannabees who only do and say anything which they believe to be in their own best, selfish interests. (Of course, when Jill and Kelly have their melt-downs, and remorses, then it's everyone elses fault.) LuAnn is an instigator and minipulatively caused or continued the rifts among all involved. If Jill, Kelly, and LuAnn are not happy, nobody's happy. Kelly is too stupid to understand anything. Get a grip...Jill provoked the downfall of this "wonderful circle of fabulous friends" which she claimed to have had.
Funny--she claims that Jill insults her constantly--yet the woman can stop talking about Jill. I don't buy the "new" Alex. For two years, everyone trashed her. Now its ok and over but, Jill is still her enemy. Maybe, just maybe she doesn't listen to Alex because she doesn't care what she has to say??? They aren't friends--so get over it. Try to find something more interesting than fighting with Jill. Its really becoming a bore.
Before I get bad comments about my spelling I have to say I'm for Italy, and I'm here fore vacation. I have seen RHWNY only this season so I don't know the Hole story, but to me seem like Behenny is cold and all business, I can't bealive how people can like someone like her. I do bealive that the edition help her, because she has a new show and Bravo doesn't want to have a show with a cruel manipulative B@#t.
I know Jill was wrong for some of the things that she has done but, all of the women have done or said crazy and hurtful things throughout the years. Alex calling Jill a mean girl was preposterous, given that they were all ganging up on Jill. Bethany was wrong for not visiting Jill's husband when he had cancer. Only sending flowers when you are like sisters is unacceptable. Also, calling off a friendship and in turn befriending and forgiving women who have treated you like crap is utterly ridiculous. Having a baby, experiencing the death of a parent and getting married are all events that usually mend broken relationships. In the end, I think the real question is whether Bethany was Jill's friend to begin with or was she just the most tolerable out of the housewives?
Alex is and will always be the nerd with the chip on her shoulders. She badmouths the other girls but plays poor me when it happens to her. She shows her naked body (gross gross gross) all of the Internet and then has the nerve to be holier than thou. Please. Don't play victim and then be the aggressor the next minute. Doesn't work.
Jill actually does get Luann not to invite Bethenny to her party on the show. Luann wanted to invite Bethenny to her party at Sonya's that Jill didn't want B there. "Keeping my circle of friends tight"
Alex, Ramona, and Beth please stay friends forever the three of you are as normal as normal can be. Alex your are my favorite and always will be your a great wife and mother thanks.......
Alex is a phony social climber. The very people that said dreadful things about her, her husband and her children are now her best friends??? Give me a break. And her eagerness to be the bad news messenger to Jill makes her more juvenile that anything Jill did. She is too much of a coward to deliver her own message, so she had to say it was from Bettheny. Grow up "dear."
