'One Tree Hill': Season finale smackdown
The regular TV season has come to a close, and while some finales have got us talking more than others (like that heartbreaking and awesome "House" ep), we still have a lot to say, so this week, we've selected a few series and will compare their 2010 season ender to their 2009 season ender.
We'll tell you which hour we feel was better, but we'll also have you vote on which one you think was tops.
So, without further ado, "One Tree Hill":
"Remember Me As a Time of Day" (2009): Nathan's lifelong dream of making it to the NBA came true and Jamie got to celebrate his dad's big achievement. Brooke and Victoria reconciled and Victoria convinced her daughter to tell Julian how she truly feels. Peyton woke from a coma to find that her baby was just fine and she and Lucas drove off into the sunset with their brand new bundle of joy.
"Almost Everything I Wish I'd Said the Last Time I Saw You..." (2010): Haley, attempting to overcome the depression brought on by her mother's passing, joined Nathan, Jamie and the whole Tree Hill crew on a trip to Utah for the premiere of Julian's film. She finally seemed ready to move forward, telling Nathan that she's pregnant again. Once Julian's movie was received well at the festival, he got down on one knee and proposed to Brooke who tearily accepted.
Our pick: This is a tough call, but we're going with the 2009 hour, because it ended on a positive note. Sure, the show's farewell to Lucas and Peyton was somewhat controversial for fans, but at least they got their happily ever after.
Vote below and make sure to defend your choice in the comments section.

2010's finale ONLY because Haley wasn't playing a prop to everyone else. And because NH actually had more purpose besides the NBA (which is easily the lamest/most boring plot point).
I have always liked cliffhanger endings, especially the season 3 shocking ending. Now I definately have to watch next season. I found the season 6 ender boring but the shocking twist brought a great and surprizing end to a so-so season.
I think the 2010 ending because it was so cute with the whole gang together and brulian proposal was amazing, one of my fav moments ever, and we got what everyones wanted, naley pregnancy! And the fact that they're grown up and not in high school makes it more enjoyable.
I liked the 2009 ending better, it was just positive all the way around. And we got to see Lucas and Peyton get their happy ending. I felt 2010 left a lot out, characters just disappeared without explanation, huge characters that have been a part of the show since day 1, ie dan, lucas, peyton, deb. And the only major cliffhanger focused on the new characters. As a fan from day 1, Im more concerned about the original characters. I was happy for JB and NH, but it was lacking in drama. Although I did thoroughly enjoy Joy's performance!
2009 was way better...the whole show should have ended then!
I have watched this show since the very beginning and am questioning whether I will continue to do so for season 8.
PS
When the heck are they ever going to tell us what happened with Peyton/Lucas/Sawyer???!?!
2010 hands down. Esp. the double gunshots. Hope that is really the end of Quinn. No offese to the actress, her character is almost as annoying as Peyton Sawyer was. Which brings me to the best thing about the 2009 finale. The departure of played out PUCAS.
2010 because Haley and NHJ were AMAZING. Plus the coda at the end was done really well...and come on Haley's pregnant! WOOT! That alone makes the 2010 tops!
2009 that's when the show should have ended, and everyone got their happy ending.
Love me some Julian:
**** You, Quinn is awesome. She is my favorite on the show u stupid *****. get a life *******.
She isn't going to die.
I loved 2010's season finale because it was so much more dramatic. AS much as cliffhangers kill me, they are so exciting!! And this finale made me look forward to season 8 more than the 2009 finale made me look forward to season 7. I want to see what happens with Nathan and Haley's baby, is Haley really on the road to recovery? What will Quinn's shooting do to her? Will she lose the baby? Will she become even more depressed? Will she step up when her family needs her and be stringer than ever? I think this will give Bethany Joy Galeotti a lot of great material to work with and she is so phenomenal that I can't wait to see more of her amazing acting!
