'Never Let Me Go' trailer: Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan's creepy thriller
"Never Let Me Go" is Fox Searchlight's adaptation of yet another quietly insidious Kazuo Ishiguro novel.
Set in the English countryside, the schoolchildren of Hailsham are unique but not just because they attend an elite school. There's a mystery at foot here that's increasingly creepy and disturbing. And yes, there could be a sci fi element here, but we're not saying.
Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley play two of the adult versions of the schoolchildren.
"One Hour Photo" and music video director extraordinaire Mark Romanek is a good fit for this thriller, and we wouldn't be surprised if there was quiet awards buzz.
"Never Let Me Go" will open in limited release in October.

Finally, Keira Knightley is back on the screen after her theatre stint. She's been missed, she's a great actress. The movie looks great, the feel of it is exactly like in the book, which is subtle and haunting. I wouldn't be surprised if this movie becomes a major awards contender.
That almost seemed like two different movies in one trailer.
im confused
How was any of that creepy? Are you sure this is a thriller? Because I think it's "The Notebook 2".
Creepy? No. Weird? Yes. Will I go see it? Not even on Netflix.
You guys don't understand the premise of the film- the trailer makes it out to be kind of a cheesy love story but it most certainly is not. The book it is based on is one of the most beautiful, soul shattering things written in the last fifty years- seriously, you should read it. It is sci-fi- I won't spoil the "secret" but if you watch the trailer closely you can figure it out.
check out Carey Mulligan in her new movie out soon. become a cool fan like me hah http://bit.ly/9vkzYY
Um...that IS creepy. I read the plot summary of the book, so I know the evil secret too!! I won't tell you, all I will say is that it is an EVIL secret which spells doom for the characters!
