Mark Wahlberg: 'Entourage' done next year, movie coming

mark-wahlberg-getty-320.jpg"Entourage" will end in 2011, executive producer Mark Wahlberg says. At least on television.

Wahlberg says that the HBO series, which begins its seventh season on June 27, and it will conclude early next year with a six-episode run. Then it could be on to the big screen for fake movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his boys.

"I am more focused on making that movie than my own films," Wahlberg tells MTV News. "I just think we can make a great movie. I think people always wanted [it] and have complained that the episodes are too short. ... I think we're going to do it."

The upcoming season of "Entourage" will find Vince becoming a thrill addict -- much to the dismay of E (Kevin Connolly) and Ari (Jeremy Piven) -- after an accident on the set of an action flick. Ari also has a new assistant now that Lloyd (Rex Lee) is an agent himself, representing Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon). Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), meanwhile, is attracted to an employee (Dania Ramirez) of his new car-service business.

Wahlberg says he sees a six-episode coda to the series airing in 2011, "and then in the trailer [for the movie] you see [Ari and Lloyd] waking up together in Vegas, not knowing what happened."

What do you think of the idea of "Entourage" on the big screen?

Thanks for the spoiler warning.

Just like that divet miss thang preta the divet to not give us a spoiler warning. Haha porr thing lol.

CBS is for old people.

What the hell do you need a spoiler warning for, Zach? This article doesn't have anything specific about the new season.

I agree with Birdman. That's just promotional material like you'd see in a trailer or TV Guide. They don't put spoiler warnings in there either.

Anyway, considering the show is about the ins and outs of Hollywood, I think it's quite fitting that they end up doing a movie. I'm more likely to go see this than I would Sex and the City 3.

The spoiler is that Vince will be in an accident on the set of a new movie. The trailers showed him doing his own stunts, but not being in an accident.

Here's my idea for a two part film series: Part one, the entourage boys are in the midst of filming a new movie for Vince with Johnny Drama as a bit character (two small scenes or so) with the film ending with the first screening of the film or just the preview, obviously and obscure idea (maybe they try smokejumpers again).

The sequel would then be the movie that they were filming with Vince as the star. So the follow up would not be an Entourage movie but if they were filming smokejumpers, it would be the actual smokejumper movie. What do you think?

The movie could be good... and after seeing The Other Guys maybe it will be a good thing if Wahlberg concentrates on making Entourage instead of his own movies.
