'Mad Love' gains Judy Greer and a mid-season CBS pick-up

judy-greer-getty.jpgThe CBS pilot "Mad Love," which revolves around four friends in New York City, has gone through so many casting changes it could make your head spin. The network has finally given the show a green light as a mid-season replacement for the 2010-2011 season, Deadline reports, but when it airs, it won't look much like the original pilot at all.

In addition to "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke stepping in to replace "Friday Night Lights" darling Minka Kelly, the vastly underrated Judy Greer has now been hired as a replacement for Lizzy Caplan -- who was actually a replacement herself, for Ashley Austin Morris. Caplan couldn't commit to "Mad Love" because of her ties to "Party Down," which still hasn't been picked up for a third season.

Caplan seems to be the only "Party Down" star to make that series a priority. In the last year, "Party Down" has lost Jane Lynch to "Glee," Adam Scott to "Parks and Recreation," and Ryan Hansen to the upcoming NBC sitcom "Friends with Benefits."
