'Glee': Will Leona Lewis guest star in Season 2?

leona-lewis-getty.jpgWhile we'd love to hear Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and the gang cover "Bleeding Love," we're not sure we can believe this rumor quite yet.

The U.K. Mirror reports that Leona Lewis, Season 3 winner of "The X Factor," has landed a guest spot on Season 2 of "Glee."

With her impressive pipes, Lewis would fit in well on the show. However, we think this rumor may have stemmed from the fact that the "Glee" cast is in London promoting the series, and Lewis happened to be partying at a night club called The Ivy when Matthew Morrison, Chris Colfer, and Kevin McHale stopped by.

Apparently it was paparazzi central, though Lily Allen, whose song "Smile" was featured on "Glee," didn't get much flashbulb attention. Don't worry, Lily! Just relax and enjoy those "Glee"-fueled royalties.

If Leona Lewis did step in for a role on "Glee," who would you want her to play? Our first instinct is that she and Mr. Schuester would look pretty hot together, but Schue needs to focus on Emma now. Making out with randoms didn't serve him well last season!

LOVE Leona. It would be great if she got a guest role... she has an awesome fake American accent.

If adding Leona makes sense, then great. We do not need another stunt glee club teacher (Eve, Idina Menzel both in S1) nor a snubbed glee club has-been who performed with Will in high school (Molly Shannon, NPH, Kristin Chenoweth all in S1).

No reason to stunt cast just to stunt cast.

Please allow the stories to unfold and let the music UNDERSCORE and EMPHASIZE the show, not allowing the music to drive the episodes.

Weird, she isn't going to be on glee any time soon.

I really hope that Leona Lewis does not get a spot on Glee... she would ruin what is charismatic TV programme... yeah she can sing but with no heart and soul and zero stage presence or charisma. The recent reviews of her O2 concerts highlight that she is lacking any 'performance' skills. She is a lovely kind and gentle person, but please keep her of TV esp Glee and stage... keep her on CD's only for those who like that sort of thing!
Here's to another season of Glee, with a cast of REAL talent and charismatic 'performers'.

Well Matt Morrison has dueted with Leona at the 02 about 10 mins ago. I have just witnessed it and it was just amazing.

They sang somewhere over the rainbow, so it might be true.

Yes she's a great singer, but I have to say no to her on Glee... too many "tribute" episodes, and "stunt casting" of guest stars would kill the show because they really need to focus on furthering the stories of the characters who are already on the show! Add that to the fact that they are adding 3 new characters (Kurt's bf, Male Mercedes, and Christian Rachel rival- plus Emma's dentist )that will need developing in addition to the current cast. I like LL, but I love Glee more and think that putting her on would be a mistake. (Hell, they're already talking about Susan Boyle making an appearance... enough already!)
