'Glee' finale: Quinn will give birth as the season comes full circle
(Spoilers on the finale comin' at ya, so be forewarned.)
The former picks "Bohemian Rhapsody" -- complete with Jesse St. James tickling the ivories -- as their big performance number, while the latter does a killer Journey medley that includes "Faithfully," "Any Way You Want It," "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'" and "Don't Stop Believin.'"
Korbi TV was in attendance for filming of the showdown, and when I tell you the crowd (aka extras) went bananas when New Directions began to sing, I'm really downplaying it. Only the entrance of Jane Lynch -- whose character, Sue Sylvester, will judge the competition alongside Josh Groban, Olivia Newton-John and Rod Remington (Bill A. Jones) -- and the mini-solo that Puck (Mark Salling) performs during "Any Way You Want It" got screams that came anywhere close to the pandemonium that struck when the Journey mash-up started.
But the most tender and memorable finale moments will come when Ms. Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) finally gives birth to that baby she's been carrying around all season. Not only will she drop those extra pounds she's been carping about all season, but she'll also bring a new life into the world and, well, you know, you might cry a little. But it'll be a happy cry.
You may even shed a sweet tear at Regionals, thinking about how far the kids have come, as the Journey number brings Season 1 full circle. Depends how sappy you are; we're losers, so we totally had the water works on.
Whether New Directions wins Regionals or not, we can't say for sure. Word is they won't, but we don't really know because they filmed multiple versions of the scene. We're thinking it might be better if they give it their best shot but don't quite come out on top, so they're still hungry next season.
But we'll be cool with whatever.
What do you guys want to happen?
The season finale of "Glee" airs at 9 p.m. ET Tuesday on FOX.
