Gabrielle Union tapped for 'Army Wives' spin-off

The as-of-yet unnamed "Army Wives" spin-off that Lifetime has been working on for almost a year is moving ahead -- with Gabrielle Union.According to Deadline, the spin-off will focus on "Army Wives" character Pamela Moran (Brigid Brannagh), a woman recently divorced from her Delta Force soldier husband who returns to her career as a police officer. Moran will become a detective with the Atlanta PD and her new partner will be Detective Gina Holt of the Major Crimes division. Gabrielle Union has been tapped to play Holt.
"Army Wives" will wrap its fourth season on Sunday, June 20 but the spin-off has been in the works for awhile now. Last September, Lifetime asked their viewers and readers to vote on which character should get her own spin-off. Pamela Moran was one of the most popular choices.

I always thought it would be interesting to see Pamela as a cop. I haven't watched Army Wives since the beginning of the 2nd season, but I will most definitely be watching this. Pamela was my favorite character.
I don't know any guy fans of ARMY WIVES, but I watch it and enjoy it regularly.
I really like the Brigid Brannagh character and would certainly watch this spinoff. I had no idea such a thing was in the works until I read this online article.
I will be very sad to see Pamela leave Army Wives.
I think Brigid Brannagh is a good actress and I love Gabrielle Union as an actress so yes I would certainly watch a show with the 2 of them in it.
I had no idea they were planning a spin off though after last nights episode it looks like there setting it up perfectly. Sad to see her go but the new show sounds good. Hopefully her hot ex will show up every now and then.
I actually might watch it. I don't think she has added much to Army Wives this past season and now that she's living off base and ISN'T an Army Wife, it makes sense for her to have her own show.
I would definitely give this spin off a look. After seeing last week's episode, I wondered what they were going to do with her character, since it was obvious she would be leaving the base.
I won't be watching. It sounds like a newer version of Cagney and Lacey and if I wanna watch that, I'll buy the DVDs of the original.
I liked her character on Army Wives. She was the reason I watched. Now, I doubt I'll watch either.
