FOX is still hot on 'Cleveland'
FOX is really getting into this planning-ahead thing: It's renewed "The Cleveland Show" for a third season, even though the second one won't premiere for another few months."Cleveland" isn't the first show to make FOX's 2011-12 schedule either. The network gave a third-season order to "Glee" a couple weeks back.
The early pickups actually aren't anything new for "The Cleveland Show." The "Family Guy" spinoff began its life with a 39-episode order, then received an order to complete its second season shortly after it premiered last fall.
Episodes of an animated show take a lot longer to complete than they do for a live-action show, so the extra time to get rolling on Season 3 will help ensure the continued flow of new episodes.
"The Cleveland Show" averaged 6.4 million viewers per week this season and a 3.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.
