CMT winners: Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert score at Music Awards
The fans have spoken at the CMT Music Awards: Carrie Underwood is their girl.The "American Idol" winner took home two "buckles" Wednesday (June 9), leading the pack of today's country music stars.
Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert each won for male and female video of the year, respectively.
Although it was a night for celebration, the stars weren't completely unaware of the grief and difficulties around them. In Urban's acceptance speech, after thanking wife Nicole Kidman, he added his prayers to those dealing with the Gulf of Mexico oil spill: "We've never seen anything like this - emotions I can't even find words for as I watch this thing happening on TV."
