Box Office Friday: 'Toy Story 3' beats 'Grown Ups' and Tom Cruise
Never underestimate the power of Pixar. After last weekend's incredible debut, "Toy Story 3" is on track for another win this weekend, collecting an estimated $18 million on Friday night alone. Not far behind is Adam Sandler's latest funny fare, "Grown Ups," with $14 million. This puts "Grown Ups" on track for a cool $40 million weekend. Though this won't compare to "Toy Story 3's" possible $60 million, it's comparable to Sandler's previous hits "Click" and "Don't Mess With the Zohan," which were both box office successes.
Rounding out the top three spots was Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz's action flick "Knight and Day," which isn't proving to be the blockbuster blow-out that Cruise has delivered in the past. It grossed about $6 million on Friday night, which is an improvement over its Wednesday debut, a rather weak $3.8 million.
"The Karate Kid" and "The A-Team" are expected to round out the Top 5 for the weekend.

Tom is sooooooooo yesterday!
Toy Story 3 is definitely a critical darling and fan favourite, a true blockbuster.
I know Adam Sandler makes low brow but with the reviews Grown Ups got, I'll be waiting for the value bin.
Tom Cruise still kicks ***, looking forward to Knight and Day. A couples movie that men don't have to suffer through.
people are tired of cruise. they are not ready to welcome him back just yet. the media has just decided it is time for cruise to make a comeback. he was a top ten box office draw for 20 years. he has all ready had quite a career. he will continue to have a career for years to come, but he is no longer the star he once was. even before the glib, the couch, the brooke shields, the scientology tape leak, his films were costing more and making less at the box office.
