'Bethenny Getting Married?': Should Bethenny Frankel have hired Max, the assistant?

bethenny-getting-married-bethenny-frankel-max.jpgIn "Bethenny Getting Married?," we finally get a look behind the headlines of Bethenny Frankel's engagement, pregnancy and work life.

In the premiere, we watched Bethenny and her then fiancé, Jason Hoppy, get into a spat and then squash it before picking their wedding bands. We also saw Bethenny go to her first of what we hear are several therapy sessions in order to deal with her issues surrounding her parents and commitment. But, the storyline that sparked the most conversation in the Zap2it offices was Bethenny's new assistant, Max.

Oh, sure, he's not hard to look at (oh, and he interviewed well, too), but should Bethenny have hired him against Jason's wishes?

Bethenny's side: She interviewed everyone from "Napoleon Dynamite" to a young woman who seemed more interested in styling than assisting, so Max stood out. Of course, Jason acted like he was cool with it later, but there's a chance he was faking as if he was OK with it. At any rate, shouldn't she be able to hire who she believed was the most qualified?

Jason's side: He expressed his desire not to have some young, straight guy working around his sometimes scantily clad fiancé in their home. And if the tables were turned, would Bethenny appreciate it if he hired some young gorgeous co-ed to assist him? Sure, issues of discrimination against straight guys could be brought up here, but it's also about placing the right person in the job and in her life. So, shouldn't she have considered Jason's feelings and continued interviewing?

Hey Jethro!
Quit writing about crappy reality shows and maybe they'll go away. Douche.

I think Jason is the one who's afraid of being tempted...

SinDee, i swear was gonna write that same comment, LOL!!

Max is a doll and Cookie liked him - of course he was a great choice. I'd like to see her find something for that first guy to do, though, too.

Andy Cohen simultaneously kisses his new money machine's *** (Bethenny) a white trash damaged ***** while throwing Jill Zarin to the wolves. Ramona, definitely white trash renewed to worse trash, has the cruelest mouth of all and then lies about everything she said. Alex is the devil. She gives new meaning to the word "ugly" and is using Bethenny to claw her way simply to survive in Brooklyn. Neither show needs her. She's useless and spiteful. Kelly doesn't need this grief and she should run as quickly as possible. Sonja is simply an old and horny drunk. Bethenny's show will only last if Jason has sex with Bethenny's assistant. Jackhole of the season-Andy Cohen.

Holly, aka Kelly!!

love love love bethenny, jason and cookie, and max is a cutie, if anyone writes or says otherwise they're just supremely jealous, or old ugly hags with no life, a/k/a kelly and jill

who wrote that Jill or Kelly? fess up girls we know it was one of you.

that wasnt holly it was jill or kelly with the negative comments.

I really enjoyed this show. Max gets Bethenny's personality and rolls with the punches. Cookie (the dog) loves her mommy a little too much. Her new hubby is an awesome stand up guy.
