'Bachelor Pad': Melissa Rycroft, Chris Harrison to co-host
Despite all the speculation earlier this year, Melissa Rycroft didn't get ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" co-hosting gig with Tom Bergeron -- but it turns out she will get to stand alongside Chris Harrison as co-host for the all-new "Bachelor Pad.""I'm excited." Rycroft tells People. "It's fun. It's a brand new experience for me. I've never been on that side but I'm anxious. I'm excited and ready to start."
ABC's spinoff show will feature previous contestants from "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," and of course their long-time host Harrison. While former "Bachelor" contestant Rycroft will be by Harrison's side, her hosting duties won't include a search for love -- she married Tye Strickland last December.
As for the contestants -- which may have already leaked -- they will live together in "The Bachelor" mansion and compete in a series of challenges and dates for a chance at winning a quarter million dollars.
"Bachelor Pad" premieres August 9 on ABC.

I am very happy Melissa is cohosting Bachelor Pad! She has always been a favorite of mine. The rest of the casr looks good with the exception of the Weatherman, Johnathan, whom I personally cannot stand, but at least I know Ali had the good sense to give hime the boot
