'American Idol': David Archuleta sings 'I'll Be' at Mall of America
TwitterHe arrived in person to sign his book "Chords of Strength" and thanked the die hard Archie fans and then decided that who cares if there's no band or background soundtrack or floodlights? He'll just give an impromptu a capella concert.
That's when the real screaming (and camera shaking) began.

Unfortunately, the audio isn't quite as good for his interview, but if you turn the volume way up or put your ear up to the speaker, you can hear his responses.

David Archuleta is wonderful!!! He is the most humble, careing gifted person I have ever seen.
Awww, this kind of breaks my heart. I used to live close to the MOA, and I could've driven there in a few hours. It would've been an awesome experience seeing David and briefly interacting with him. But that's OK. I'll have to wait 'til his next concert. At least I have the book, though. That helps.

David doesn't need background music. Always ready to sing with only his voice. The best a capella singer. Don't forget he has only one vocal cord.

I adore David. He just lights up a room - or in this case a mall! His voice is gorgeous and his personality is wonderful. Such a humble, honest, kind and hardworking guy. BTW Sara - he does have 2 vocal cords but one is small and doesn't move much.
