'The Simpsons' pays tribute to Ke$ha with 'Tik Tok' show open

the-simpsons-kesha.jpgIf you tuned in to "The Simpsons" Sunday (May 2) night, you didn't see the intro the FOX show has been tweaking the past two decades.

Instead, viewers were treated to a musical number set to the omnipresent "Tik Tok" by Ke$ha.

We think a mid-song interruption from Bart asking viewers if they think we're the aliens would have been apropos ... and earned the intro even more points.

What do YOU think of the Ke$ha tribute show open? Thumbs up or down?

Two thumbs way up! The Simpsons may not be as good as they once were, but they are still ver clever and creative, and this proves it!

simpsons have been on the air for 2 decades and to do one now isn't right since bether muscians have beeen around in that time span

loved it. funny. great episode.

Well thanks a lot, Matt Groening! You just extended that No-talent Ke$ha's 15 minutes of fame by 1 un-necessary minute. Pitiful.

Thumbs way down. Not for trying something new or treating us to a new intro, but because the song totally s*cks.

I hate the song but i like it when the simpsons do different openings

two thumbs up

since the episode was titled To Surveil, with Love they should have used Lulu

Pretty clever to try a new opening, but it seems a little late, especially with Family Guy doing more original ones. Granted, the "Treehouse of Horror" openings are always clever, FG seems to find openings that surprise and amaze, i.e.: the Superfriends tribute opening. Seems a little bit too late, and using Ke$ha seems a little too much. I liked it, but it shows that they're starting late to the party.

I loved the opening. Yeah, Ke$ha's not the greatest artist, but it was still funny to watch!
